TOMAD was pleased to have Brett Smyth of Ideal Industries give a presentation on Wednesday, March 4th in Dubai on the strengths and benefits of the Ideal product line to our customers in the Middle East.
While Ideal has dominated the electrical distribution market since 1916 with wire connectors, fish tape, lubes, benders, wire strippers, testers and multimeters, they continue to bring innovation and value to their customers through product improvements. Since the sale of their first twist-on wire connector in 1924, IDEAL has sold more than one billion twister connectors.
One of the more unique and time saving pieces of equipment introduced at the meeting was the FT-45 Feed-Thru Modular Plug Data Crimper. The FT-45 is a simple, compact and highly effective crimp tool for installers and techs that terminates RJ-45 connectors regularly. Conductors are trimmed to the correct length by the tool and verifies conductor order before crimping thus eliminating wasted connectors due to incorrect assembly.
